Dr Aparna Wadkar

Dr. Aparna is an Assistant lecturer cum Administrative in charge of the Paediatric Neurorehabilitation Centre, Department of Paediatrics, Goa Medical College since 2010. She completed her IAP fellowship in Developmental and Behavioural Paediatrics with a gold medal in 2018.

Dr. Aparna assesses children with different Neurodevelopmental problems referred to the PNRC. She is actively involved in developing treatment plans for children referred with Autism, ADHD, Cerebral palsy, and other developmental issues in collaboration with our therapists at PNRC.  She also provides active follow-up of the NICU graduates discharged from level 3 NICUs who are subsequently followed up at PNRC after being seen at the High-risk clinic in GMC.  She is a Master trainer for the INCLEN ASD tool and ISAA. She is also trained for ADOS 2, ADI R, and DASSI for developmental evaluations Dr. Aparna is a part of the Disability certification board for issuing disability certificates for children with Autism, Intellectual disability, and Specific Learning disabilities at the Institute of Psychiatry and Human Behavior at Bambolim Goa.  As an Assistant lecturer, she is involved in teaching MBBS students., Postgraduates, Occupational therapy, and Physiotherapy students at Goa Medical College
