Dr. John is a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and Head of the Department of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at NIMHANS, Bangalore. 40% of Dr. John’s clinical work involves service delivery to children with Neuro developmental disorders and their families. He has been involved in multiple national and international extramural projects in ASD. Dr. John has been a mentor for MD, M.Phil., and Ph.D. scholars who pursue their research theses in ASD. He was the recipient of the prestigious NIH-USA funded Indo-US Fogarty Post-doctoral Fellowship in 2014 and travel grant for the 1st regional IMFAR at Shanghai in 2015. His ongoing projects include a neuro imaging study in toddlers at risk for ASD and a study to characterize blood-based biomarkers in children with ASD.
