Dr. Nandini is a Developmental Pediatrician and the director of Centre for Child Development and Disabilities in Bengaluru. The center has a multidisciplinary team of 40 ranging from Developmental Pediatrics, Psychology, Special education, Physiotherapy, and Occupational therapy. The center sees about 1500 children annually and offer services both in consultation and therapy. The center has so far reached out to over 10.000 children from its inception in 2006. Dr. Nandini also co-founded a child development portal with a software engineer and has several online programs. They have developed apps for monitoring milestones from 4 months to 5 years called track and act and have screened over 150,000 children so far. This is available in three Indian languages besides English. They developed an online criteria-based assessment tool called Scope profile and a suitable parent-based intervention program. This became popular during the COVID lockdown and now have several parents using this program. Besides rendering intervention services, CCDD offers short term training courses for doctors, paraprofessionals in early intervention. The center is recognized by Indian Academy of Pediatrics to provide a one-year fellowship program in Developmental Pediatrics.
